The Plot Thickens

The artful weaving of character and plot make this a great story. Listen to this 2nd book on the series if you enjoy historical fiction.

I enjoyed the portrayal of the spirited and feisty Mrs. Smith. Ms. Austin nailed this powerful matriarch’s character.

Rich in history, a compelling story with a sweet romance. I highly recommend it!

The narrator did a great job!

Can't get past narrator.

Would love to listen to next story, to see how it turns out. However, I can't listen to the narrator, any longer.
I almost didn't finish this book.
She can't keep straight the characters voices. She is over dramatic. I'm not sure if the story was overdramatic or the narrator or both.
