This is a collection of really funny short stories in easy Italian, with some slang and some light cursing to reflect the real way Italians speak. (Italians curse much more than Americans.) This book can be used by English native speakers to improve their Italian and gain fluency by having fun with the funny story.
The best way to learn is to listen to the translated story in English and in Italian, then listen to the vocabulary and slang explanation. When you feel confident enough, just listen to the audiobook in your target language. By repeating this process with all the stories in this book, your fluency will improve consistently. Hilariously Funny Stories Clearly Enunciated Italian
Too bad there's not a follow-up volume. I have the hardcopy and Audible, a good combination for improving my Italian. I love the author's Italian accent speaking English. She's the real deal and a good instructor. Her vocabulary lists following each story are accompanied with side-bar comments on usage that are very helpful. 11 points out of 10.

Smart easy and enjoyable way to fluent Italian

Fun adult stories for later beginner/intermediate
I enjoyed these stories. I imagined they were all true stories that happened to the author. although her accent is very thick, I could understand her well in both Italian and English and I appreciated her ability to slow her Italian speech down to the level that an intermediate speaker/listener had little trouble following the story. The vocabulary was very useful and I loved how the author/ narrator explains things. Some people may be offended by some of the more colorful language, but I felt it was funny and made the stories more realistic. I plan to listen to all of the stories again now that I have increased my vocabulary some and then look to see if Ms. Corvino has published anything else.
