Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Ten stars for performance
Revisado: 03-12-23
This books is amazing by itself, but is so much more entertaining because of the performance. I’m actively searching for nerd-people to promote this audio book to its so good.

Not my favorite Redland but still entertaining
Revisado: 01-20-23
Story always the same between these books, I had loved the ease of the listen. After listening to many of them, though, the monotony of the storylines and characters (especially the protagonist) is getting to me enough where I won’t buy another for a while.
It’s a simple listen, pretty predictable. But a nice light diversion if your life is intense.
Performance is good. The voices she does of men sounds like Kristen Stewart’s acting in Twilight, like something’s trying to escape her throat. Idk maybe it’s just me.

Good info, someone else should read it
Revisado: 11-29-21
The author is obviously smart! But she shouldn’t read her book aloud, she sounds unnatural, like a robot. Good info though.

Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

Wait what?
Revisado: 06-13-21
I’m probably not deep enough for the lengthy detail this story goes into, but I think it could have been told maybe in half the length and with more info at the end about what actually happened to the hero. It kind of left me wanting to know more but also not wanting more only because it might take another 13 hours to get there. There were sadly no twists - it was pretty predictable.
The setting both geographically and historically were well described and the names of the characters were especially beautiful. Overall I wouldn’t read this again or necessarily recommend it to anyone.

Slurred narrator, great message
Revisado: 07-03-20
I don’t know why this guy was the chosen narrator - he sounds like a guy sitting on his sofa drinking too many beers. But the message is great, the narrators voice and speech is distracting.
