narration was really well done

the story was so badly written it actually made the narrator have trouble saving this book. at least from my perspective. i seen this same group lift up other series of stories i did not enjoy reading. into a fun tale. this story.. it is just bad.
the main character is not only lazy. he seems to delite in being an idiot. the secondary characters were actually more interesting than the main character. still since the story revolves around the main character. ill hit the main points. the mc grew up in a medieval society. was not publicly educated however he could read and write. he became a warrior and died in battle. head chopped off. while his head was launched from his shoulders. he was drawing mana from a gemstone he had his soul launched into a gem stone. creating a dungeon.

as a dungeon his birth was atypical. so he became a flying type. he get a fairy who also works as a system admin. for dungeons.
special circumstances for her is she ia a reincarnated fairy from earth. other than being used as a plot device the author doesn't focus on her to much. he focuses on the mc.
the mc characteristics could be best described as dumb, lacking forethought. selfish, amoral, and spoiled.

i think the author was going for a luffy character. with the fairy being a stead fast sidekick. or maybe a dumb jock like a hp malfoy lackey.

i had trouble seeing him as anything other than lazily evil. i should mention stupid a third time as well. i really had trouble with this main character. basically because the author wrote it so. stuff gets done. however every other characters has to work hard to make the main character a barely decent character.

this book and the first feel like rough drafts of a story that need to be thought out more.
i actually quit this story at chapter 14. it just became to dumb for me to enjoy.

in the 14th chapter the mc decides to resurrects the killer omega slime that constantly wants to kill him. ....but wait, he wants the slime even more powerful. so he somehow creates a singularity that starts to suck in the air and everything around him also becomes more powerful and you know dangerous. the mc planetary god pops up. locks the problem away before everyone gets sucked into a black hole.
the mc is upset that he couldn't send the slime down onto the planetary surface as a wandering raid boss. or even up into space. and attack the divinity. while also throwing a childish tantrum. then threatens said diety with death. while the diety is bending over backwards to pacify the mc.. right after noping the newest form of apocalyptic from happening.
i just gave up it wasn't interesting enough to see what happens next.

the main voice honestly

i did not enjoy reading this story. however on audible i really enjoyed the story.

good narration with a butt.

the narration was done pretty well. however while i like this story. i was quite embarrassed when the narrator tried to do several voices. that included a little girl voice. that was the most memorable moment. i had the window of my truck open and was stuck in stop and go traffic. when the narrator did his little girl voice. i had to wake the tablet screen up. flip in my pin and then tap the audible pause button. all while feeling judgmental eyes on me.

while there are only a few moments in this book were i encountered the narrator doing voices and doing them badly. it is enough that i am hoping there will be a few other people involved in his second and third projects and that the audible file gets an update or patches to the current story.

not enough for me to kill my purchases. however i really want to see a more professional polish to this. i do not want to be embarrassed by my purchases.

enter main character with a God complex.

okay, so this is the second installment of the weakest summoner. the characters are shallow. i knew that going in. however i was hoping that this feel good story would be a soft hearted slice of life harem.
i lost the feel good. when the main character decided that following the rules didn't apply to him.
then the main character decided that he was going to torture poison and even hold a knife to the tormented kids father. all while beating a confession. i read the first book. i know what the protagonists did. the mc however is the one who is going off the deep end. all while the female harem members assist him.

this is all because his mother would be under investigation for embezzlement of gold. while the annoying protag who mocked him in what amounted to highschool needed a lesson. did the author watch a school shooter documentary and decide yes that who i want to base my main character on.

what should have been a minor highschool fight went off the deep end. into the deranged. the way the story was written. it almost like the target audience was young teen boys who wanted to read something smutty. i didn't mind that it wasn't written for an adult audience. i enjoyed it while waiting for my favorites book to get another installment or an audible.
this story however I'm wondering what the author was thinking. dangerous dirty fantasies. where as long as your not caught everything is okay. the target audience isn't for mature adults. it obviously for kids in middle and highschool who are using their mom credit cards to get the lastest book.

okay i should mention the narrators did a pretty good job. the female voices were a bit weak admittedly 30 minutes after pausing the story. i can't recall if it was because a male narrators was failing to imitate a female voice or the female they found just wasn't a woman voice i ever want to listen to. the main character voice was okay, and the two female support characters were alright. however pretty much any female that wasn't those two i didn't really appreciate listening to. it wasn’t super horrible admittedly. just not nice.

i enjoyed the tale. but i really dislike the MC.

the story itself is entertaining, as long as you can stomach a man who is 24 years old and acts like an emo 14 year old boy.

the main character, really displays his attachment to controlling others lives. making the important decisions for them. not surprising, this is a very pro socialist story. we also found out all his important relationships are forms of his control over others. his first girlfriend was his childhood best friend. great right. except he told his best friend you need to date me or we are not friends basically, with an implied threat if you choose no i will make your life hell. remember this guy is extremely good at manipulation. very rapist kind of thing to do. the term i believe is Acquaintance rape. when his best friend broke up with him. she had to use his older brother who seemed to be a surprising good guy. not to mention family as in his own mother. to protect herself. it is described as her wanting to blow things up. but again i doubt she had a choice. The author down plays this. and likely if asked would say I'm over thinking this.
however near the end of the book it is shown just how petty the main character is when he tries to punish her for escaping him.

i do like how realistic the author made several aspects of his story. he took a cretin and made him the main character. i dislike the main character immensely. to me, he is everything that is wrong in more ways than one with many uniformed and uneducated people i see in my own country. or misinformed and feed propaganda. i seen the results of the socialist and even communist route. it not just education that shaped my views.

not surprising the main character is very pro socialist except for sharing out his own wealth.

the irritating thing for me was America is displayed as a little kid with a big gun. myself having visited, several socialist and communist countries. then seeing the lives of Americans. to compare to. i even been to the country of Liberia which is doing decent even while being surround by several failed states all around their borders. the authors contempt about capitalists. while writing about living in a wealthy upper middle class family.

lots of killing lots of angst.

oh and the author has no problem mocking religions in principle. he openly mocks the safe religion's. as in religions that won't cut off his head or place a bounty on himself and family. but never even brings up the ones that will. he seems to be in the self divinity category. strange that. since i belong to the safe religion he has no problem mocking, i noticed how little understanding he actually has about the religion. the author makes a point about talking about religion so much so. half to two thirds of one of his books could be filled with his confusing thoughts on religion. the rest could be used to fill in on. the evils of capitalist and the joys of socialism. thankfully there enough room in his other three books to make a story. i listened to this on audible while driving. i don't believe i could have read through on my own. to even make it past the first story. without audible.

there is a story here. it seems to resemble/reflect the Chinese xianxia stories quite a bit.
