Historia
Stranger in a Strange Land is the epic saga of an earthling, Valentine Michael Smith, born and educated on Mars, who arrives on our planet with “psi” powers—telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, telekinesis, teleportation, pyrolysis, and the ability to take control of the minds of others—and complete innocence regarding the mores of man. After his tutelage under a surrogate father figure, Valentine begins his transformation into a kind of messiah.

Historia
China is killing Americans and working aggressively to maximize the carnage while our leaders remain passive and, in some cases, compliant. Why? If anyone could crack the code, it’s the renowned nonpartisan investigator Peter Schweizer. Schweizer’s previous three number one New York Times bestsellers sent shock waves through official Washington, sparking FBI investigations and congressional probes that continue to this day.

Historia
Tim Kennedy has a problem; he only feels alive right before he’s about to die. Kennedy, a Green Beret, decorated Army sniper, and UFC headliner, has tackled a bull with his bare hands, jumped out of airplanes, dove to the depths of the ocean, and traveled the world hunting poachers, human traffickers, and the Taliban. But he’s also the same man who got kicked out of the police department, fire department, and as an EMT, before getting two women pregnant four days apart, and finally, been beaten up by his Special Forces colleagues.

Tim’s honesty, humility and humor is engaging
Revisado: 12-29-23
Tim provides a unique perspective as a warrior, fighter, husband, father and man growing and learning from his mistakes and experiences in combat, MMA and the hard knocks of life.
Tim doesn’t sugarcoat anything and clearly makes an effort throughout to be brutally honest. The stories are also peppered with self deprecating humor that is funny as hell

Worth the Listen
Revisado: 06-27-23
Of course when it comes to these types of books authors are rarely covering new ground but Ed delivers some great immediately actionable advice that can truly be life changing without a lot of unnecessary stories or filler. He comes off as having authentically applied these things in his own life. There are some great takeaways that I am using today and each day going forward.

Historia
It's comforting to imagine that superstars in their fields were just born better equipped than the rest of us. When a co-worker loses 20 pounds, or a friend runs a marathon while completing a huge project at work, we assume they have more grit, more willpower, more innate talent, and above all, more motivation to see their goals through. But that's not at actually true, as popular Inc.com columnist Jeff Haden proves. "Motivation" as we know it is a myth. Motivation isn't the special sauce that we require at the beginning of any major change.

Refreshingly Practical and Immediately Actionable
Revisado: 08-23-20
Love this book and highly recommend it. Everything is explained clearly with actionable steps that can be applied today. All of the stories are short, relevant and useful (not pointless ramblings about the author’s life). Ray Porter’s narration is excellent. Mr. Haden has provided a blunt, practical book on getting important things done in the real-world and loving the process as you continued build the skill of designing your processes and following through.
