Unfortunately, she has also been a tough taskmaster for those who must work with her. Nonetheless, she has been meticulous in her own work. When Charles Caldwell arrives to review the books, she finds that he is just as good looking as a picture of him she found on the accounting firm’s website. And for the first time in decades, she agrees to go out with a man on a date.

Things take an interesting turn when Charles confides to her that some of the men working in the store had discreetly filled him in on what they saw as a suitable manner in which to bring the haughty Libby down a notch. So how will she react to something that has never been suggested to her before?

In “At Long Last”, Sarah Melvin has just celebrated her forty-ninth birthday by way of a surprise party thrown by her husband Nick. High school sweethearts who have been married for thirty-one years, they are as deeply in love today as they were as young adults. However, Sarah has never been able to cease being prickly and judgemental over trivial matters. Nick, on the other hand is well-liked and easy to get along with. But even someone as patient as Nick can be pushed to his limits. And when he suggests to Sarah the manner in which he thinks they should deal with her frequent bouts of being difficult, she is stunned, to say the least.
