Enter the world of the Dark Obsession series where power, control, and manipulation reign supreme. Contains books 1-5.

Begin the sinister journey in Wicked Games where an unsuspecting woman is ensnared by a man who meticulously grooms her into his perfect pawn.

Follow her through the escalating torment in Sinister Games and Savage Games where her defiance is met with relentless punishment while she is forced to marry her captor.

Witness the chilling depths of madness in Cruel Games as a ruthless predator isolates his innocent prey.

The story continues in Vicious Games where complete domination is not enough—he must also possess her heart.

Dark Obsession is apt name for series title

The men's diabolical pursuit of their women is complete sexual domination. The women surrender to the intense sexual gratification & sexual ecstasy produced from pain and pleasure . Love it!!!

Entire Series is PERFECTION

I loved everything about this entire series. The writing, the performance, the SPICE 🔥! Check your trigger warnings- this one is DARK, lots of cnc/dub con, as well as a long list of other kinks/tropes, but the author cooked it to perfection and delivered it on a silver platter and let me tell you- I ate it up!

Omg…..😈

Omg….what a ride. This two brothers are bat 💩 crazy but I enjoy them. I don’t know how the girls deal with them but I like the ending. It seems that they find a way to deal with them that works for all of them.

Deliciously Dark & Dirty! 🔥

Mr. “Dick” Payne, gaslighting has never been so hot and enthralling. there are so many things I want to say about this series. It is definitely dark and enthralling. Many reviewers lamented how dark it was and how individual books have cliffhangers (neither of which are problems for me. I’m old enough to be used to cliffhangers, and I think if you need trigger warnings, you should find another sub-genre. It’s 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬, people. It’s fictional romance that’s synonymous with abuse and cruelty.) I love it when an author is not afraid to give us really cruel, dark, and creatively dirty talking bad guys. There was so much descriptive creativity in this story. Zoe Blake did such an amazing job with settings. This was definitely not your typical romance, but the ending was so very perfect. It rectified some of the things I didn’t like about the story overall. While I enjoyed it so much and would recommend it for anyone looking for dark romance, there were some caveats—perhaps more a personal preference, but still…. ⚠️𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙨‼️:
I 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 female characters who “secretly like it.” It ruins the entire bad-boy premise for me. I prefer a dark, abusive character who is redeemed for the HEA. By redeemed, or transformed, I mean that he and the female come to an agreement where she’s open about what she likes and they “play” during “scenes” as opposed to a female who pretends to hate it. While I do not enjoy stories of debasing, shaming, and painful spanking or hitting for pleasure, especially as a coping mechanism for anxiety as so many present it, I do enjoy it as a character flaw, or a morally dark personality trait of a cruel and dominant male lead. So few authors will work with that scenario. Be it for fear of ostracizing the BDSM scene, or fear of an unredeemable character because readers dislike outright abuse. I, on the other hand, think a desire to inflict pain on a lover is abusive—𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱. Thus, an attempt at making it enjoyable and consensual by a female who “gets wet” as justification for the male’s behavior just ruins the female character for me since the point is moot. Here’s what I mean, Lizzy became so annoying when she whined about the pain and wanted him to stop despite having admitted several times that she secretly wanted him to treat her that way. It ruined the entire premise for me and made 𝘮𝘦 want to cane her to shut up her petulant cries. I also had a difficult time jumping back and forth during timeline shifts, and I thought Blake may have also gotten the timeline a little off with the “Vampire” dress since I think she referenced timeline events that were out of sync when referring to that specific item. Also, that story with Elizabeth started out really deep and suspenseful, but by the third book had devolved into repetitive internal monologue and a lot of purple pros. From that point on, the story didn’t really go anywhere. Instead of climactic resolutions tying up all the suspenseful loose ends, the narrative just shifted to the story about Roman and Aurora. Which, while enjoyable, was the same overall framework as the previous story with just a few alterations. Despite the perfect—and hilarious ending (with the exception of Aurora’s refusal to marry Roman despite his reformation), the story had major plot holes. The last we’d heard about Richard and Elizabeth, he was planning to spirit her off to a private island. There’s never any real clarification about the jumbled events and there are quite a few loose threads. However, the ending cinches the story up in a way that allows the reader/listener to arrive at a sensible conclusion, so that rectified the situation as far as enjoyment goes. The dirty talk and sex scenes were absolute kinky 🔥, but I still longed to hear details about the other experiences Roman and Lizzie experienced that she alluded to. Blake did give us a taste of that sweet, passionately hot lovemaking in the latter books with Aurora and Roman. As far as quality of writing—it was excellent. Very descriptive, not too much internal monologue with the exception of the one book I mentioned. I would like to see more authors use good editors so that incorrect words like indignancy and appropriateness could be corrected (indignant and propriety). My inner BA in English mind cringes so hard when renowned authors make up words because they don’t know the appropriate prefixes or suffixes—or word to use. Also, I would like to have seen Blake use a thesaurus for a synonym for the word 𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘦 since by the last book, it was so very overused (gruesome, grisly, grim, gory, morbid, ghastly, unearthly, lurid…). As far as narration goes, can I please just melt now? Will Thorne 🔥🥵= 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕗𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟! Narration was superb!

Super repetitive DNF

I was intrigued the beginning, but it became super repetitive and the email character was annoying. I rolled my eyes several times, listening to how naïve and dumb she was. Stop listening after Lizzie story did not hear an Aurora’s as it seemed very similar to Lizzie’s. Was not a fan of Richard the MMC either. The narration was good. Story was just ok.
