Troy Grey is a husband, a father, a homeowner and pet owner. Also a collegue; an artist by profession. He's also a world-traveller, a sometimes poet, and a once-upon-a-time windsurfer. And a singer/guitarist. Acoustic, electric, 12-string and double-neck. Favoring Mockingbird guitars and Marshall amps. Grey got on a bus bound for the west coast when he was nineteen, with a suitcase, a guitar case, a letter of admission to Cal State, and two hundred dollars. A few years later, with a BA degree in design, and two guitar cases, he boarded a plane headed for New York City, meeting a woman on the flight who happened to have a roof-top studio apartment available for rent in Brooklyn. Grey now resides in Bergen County, New Jersey. Having lost a mother to Alzheimer's, and a sister to cancer, he is no longer a son, or a brother. He spends his free time raising his teenage son, keeping house, playing guitar, building guitars, and lately, writing these books.
