Terry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from Tennessee Tech University. She is the Founder of Inspire and Motivate, IAM, LLC and a motivational speaker, success trainer and coach. She is also the Creator of Bridging the Gap Training and Soul Stretching Success bringing parents and educators together to empower our children to grow and thrive along with helping others to improve both their personal and professional development. Terry began her career working as an adolescent intensive probation officer where she provided intensive probation along with individual, group and family counseling. She also helped to develop an education program for children and teens in the community to provide healthy, educational life skills as alternatives to getting into trouble. After moving to Nashville, she began working as an adolescent and family therapist at an inpatient dual diagnosis hospital. She later became a Program Director for an adolescent residential treatment center. She developed a motivational training and educational program called Bridging the Gap for daycares and early child educators. The program mission is to enhance feelings of self worth, inspire active participation and communication skills, along with implementing mutual awareness and communication between parents and early child educators. "Bridging the Gap: A Parent’s Guide" and "Bridging the Gap: An Educator’s Guide" are now available on Amazon. Jan 2021---Terry's new Book: Promoting Positive Self Esteem in our Children is now available on Amazon as ebook and paperback. Like many of us, she encountered numerous successes and pitfalls along the way and has taken the time to try and “figure it out.” She now wants to share her insight with you in her book: "The Resume' of Life-Becoming Consciously Aware Through Spirit, Mind, and Body," where she describes how she overcame the repercussions of fear, bullying, hate, and judgment to finding alignment, empowerment, love and inspiration.
