After operating under the umbrella of a large brokerage firm for over five years, Stephen came to realize that his personal investment strategy was incongruent with what he was supposed to, or even allowed to, recommend. He grew increasingly uncomfortable with the prescribed advice. Unafraid to challenge the traditional paradigms of a broken system, Stephen built Spicer Capital to address his clients (and his own) investment and financial planning concerns. Stephen Spicer, CFP®, AEP®, CLU® is the founder and managing director of Spicer Capital, LLC. He is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have three amazing boys. Stephen is passionate about education and personal growth. He is a Certified Financial Planner®, an Accredited Estate Planner®, and a Chartered Life Underwriter®. He is currently pursuing his Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst®, and Retirement Income Certified Professional® designations.​
