Robin became interested in writing after teaching elementary school students writing strategies. She was co-creator, co-writer, and co-editor of a regional tennis magazine called Top Spin. Her pen name for one of the magazine columns in coordination with a local sports doctor was Nurse Racquet. The column spawned writing a humorous blog under the name nurseracquet at nurseracquet.wordpress.com. The blog started as the “tongue in cheek” life of a suburban tennis player written in fairytale genre. She later included more serious short stories including some her mother had told her about her family’s experiences during World War II. After ten years of journaling memory snippets of her young life living on a 2000 acre ranch in the Missouri Ozarks, she began to write this memoir, The Big Ranch in the Ozarks, A Journey of the Greatest Generation, in honor of her parents and extended family. Robin now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has two sons and one grandson. When not writing, she enjoys painting, quilting, tennis, golf, pickleball, bowling, fishing, being a grandparent, and cooking with her husband, Cliffy.
