After leaving the convent and finishing her BS degree at the University of Portland and a Masters degree at Lewis & Clark College she began the first of ten years in private practice, starting group counseling at the YWCA with low income women. Two more years of study brought her a certificate in Spiritual Direction which she wove into her counseling practice for the next ten years. With emphasis on personal and spiritual growth she served individuals and couples, teaching and training at seminars with emphasis on creating and maintaining healthy couple relationships. Ms. Dearborn is currently residing in an independent senior apartment complex writing, reading, creating glass mosaic tables, gardening and living the good life with happy visits from her grown children, grand children and great children.
