PJ Coë has spent decades interviewing, reporting and writing on those at the forefront of change, particularly in the US and UK. He has combined his experience gleaned from a long career in newspaper, radio and television journalism with a fascination in modern history to write Brits Who Shaped America. The book charts the gradual tightening of commercial and cultural relations between Britain and America from the end of the Revolutionary War to the eve of the First World War. From the early 1990s to the early 2000s, PJ was a principal anchor for the BBC’s national and international TV news channels: BBC World Television and BBC News 24. His first screen role was as Finance Editor and host of Money Matters, the first daily business & markets spot on British television; broadcast on Good Morning Britain, the nation’s most popular breakfast show. He went on to become the morning show’s chief studio commentator on finance and economic stories of the day, while also reporting from across Europe and North America. PJ now lives in the historic heart of Philadelphia, close to where the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were debated and adopted.
