Miranda is a freelance writer, Co-Director of Creative Writing at Denver School of the Arts, and an all-around eclectic weirdo. She grew up in Colorado Springs and spent the majority of her life there before relocating an ENTIRE 1.5 hours away to Denver in 2018 – what a monstrous trek! When she isn’t teaching kids or procrastinating upon life’s basic tasks, she enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart; experimenting with cooking by ignoring recipes and regretting it immediately thereafter; hiking; pretending to be a good Coloradan by claiming to enjoy all outdoor hobbies; raising exotic animals (including tarantulas, poison dart frogs, and some obese tree frogs); gardening; yelling at her dogs to stop trying to eat bees; explaining to her confused neighbors over the fence that she wasn’t, in fact, telling them to not eat bees, even though, like, to each their own, I guess; using excess semicolons as super commas; breaking rules; and being her own worst self-critic.
