Thank you for taking the time to visit my bio. I guess this is an opportunity to explain that I write for fun and my own mental health. I started as a hobby and then set myself the challenge of publishing. A lot of what I write about is extravagant, part of a wild imagination and has a very dark side to it. I love dystopian stories and the friendships that come about through adversity because my life has been hard, and my writing is a reflection of this. There is a fair amount of violence because my life has been full of violence from growing up, to training and competing in many martial arts and boxing, through to 25 years of tough times as a door supervisor (the boss when I was lucky). I had so many adventures, met so many amazing people and most of all saw the darkest and brightest side to people, which does affect my imagination as I write. I try to balance the good and the bad, again due to what have I seen, my experiences. My stories are all fictional, I am not any of the characters and names are not actually people, but some do get close. Any religious references are just part of the fictional story, I mean no harm or disrespect. As the books go on good and evil does play a significant part in the overall story. During the process of writing I was lucky with a lot of advice and encouragement. A lot of advice offered was about how to write, I apologise now if it is not perfect, and misses out on the largest words in thesaurus. I plan on writing three books in the current series and will write towards a young adult audience, or maybe more towards my own reading ability, which might be considered below most young adults, so I left the thesaurus on the side. As I said to some friends - please read my books for fun, not to critique. Try to lose yourself in the world and you will enjoy it a lot more. I wish you all the best on your reading, writing and life journeys :) Thanks for reading!
