Grant was born and raised in the Akron, Ohio area and has a teaching career that has spanned thirty years, including one year in England as a Fulbright Scholar. He also served for ten years as Assistant Executive Director for the National Museum of Education (formerly the Partnership for America’s Future, Inc.) His love for the Scriptures started at an early age, but a trip to Israel in 1991 started him on a journey that continues still. Upon his return from Israel, he studied Judaism and learned Hebrew, which resulted in his first book - In His Own Words: Messianic Insights Into the Hebrew Alphabet. A home Bible study that started in the mid-1990s grew to become Beth Tikkun Messianic Fellowship, of which he has been the Congregational Leader until his retirement in June 2022. Since then, he has started a new venture called Torah Today Ministries where he provides teachings on a variety of biblical topics. They have three children and two grandchildren.
