Born in Sweden, grew up in Chicagoland. Professor of Old Testament and director of the MA in Old Testament at Northern Seminary, Lisle, IL. Founding faculty at the Scandinavian School of Theology in Sweden. MDiv and PhD in Theological Studies, with a concentration in Old Testament and Semitic Languages from Trinity in Deerfield, IL. International speaker at conferences and in churches, especially on topics relating to evil and suffering, abuse and power dynamics, the goodness of God, justice, ethical leadership, women in the Bible, Genesis, Ecclesiastes, Psalms, and Job. Two children and four grandchildren. Widowed since 2003. Love deep conversations with family, friends, and strangers, outdoor sports, time in nature, and fitness boot camp. I’ve got stories to tell!
