Immaculata De Vivo is Melanie Mason Niemiec ’71 Faculty Codirector of the Sciences at Harvard Radcliffe Institute, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Professor of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School for Public Health. She is an international leader in the field of molecular and genetic epidemiology of cancer. De Vivo’s unique interdisciplinary approach to understanding the impact of natural variation on cancer risk — combining molecular biology, genetics, and epidemiology —has been invaluable to the field of cancer research, and her work has been recognized and funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Cancer Society.
