Author Howard Seaborne began writing “novels” at age 10 -- glorious adventures of pilots and spies and evildoers scrawled in cursive on lined paper in spiral notebooks, daydreaming at its finest. Around the same time, Seaborne turned his eyes to the sky. A passion for aviation launched a career as a flight instructor and air charter pilot with an eye toward one day flying for a major airline…just in time to see major airlines like Braniff, Eastern, Pan Am, and TWA fold up and lay off thousands of pilots. Seaborne continued writing fiction while collecting a paycheck for writing in advertising and using that paycheck to support his passion for flying. The DIVISIBLE MAN series launched in 2018 with Seaborne generating two to three novels a year. Readers love the cast of characters that populate the series, often referring to them as “feeling like family.” For his part, Seaborne always seems to have the next novel in progress on his laptop, the one after that in his head, and as he puts it “no end in sight.” His self-imposed rules for writing are simple: Bad people must pay. The hero can be married to a beautiful and brilliant woman who is smarter than he is and adores him as much as he does her. Never kill off a beloved character. And every reference to aviation must be realistic and accurate. Seaborne began flying at age 16. He has flown a wide variety of single- and multi-engine general aviation aircraft. Today he flies a Beechcraft Baron and a Rotorway experimental helicopter that he built in his garage. He lives with his beautiful and brilliant wife in Wisconsin, and writes and flies during all four seasons, never far from the fictional Essex County Airport found in the DIVISIBLE MAN series.
