Hazel Meredith-Lloyd has wanted to be a writer as far back as she can remember but it took her accidentally enrolling on an amazing English Degree in her late forties to realise that she should just get on and write stuff. To her surprise, people seemed to enjoy reading it, so she’s going to keep writing and performing her prose, poetry and carefully highlighted To-Do lists until her pen runs out. And then she’ll buy another pen.* On social media as @novelcharacters Hazel is writing Romcom, commercial fiction, cosy crime, poetry, comedy, sci-fi (influenced by a love of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett) and just about anything else she can imagine. She’s very grateful to all her family and friends who have ever told her stories and poems and listened to hers. *And she knows she shouldn’t technically start a sentence with ‘And’, but once you meet the Inflammable Rex in “Orange”, I think you’ll be glad that she did… As well as writing novels, short stories, children's books and poems, Hazel has also designed a series of notebooks, available on Amazon, designed with all sorts of lovely people in mind.
