George Pintar is a product of the Great Depression. Growing up in a small village in Illinois, he saw poverty up close. Bradley University, Western Illinois University, and Southern Illinois University provided his Higher Education. Pintar was a teacher, administrator, business owner, and educational consultant before beginning his writing career. As a private pilot, he saw the landscape from on high. Chile Charlie is his trademark fictional character. Pintar has written eight fiction books and four other nonfiction books.
