Hello, and welcome to my page! I love to write and, to date, have published seven novels and one memoir-style non-fiction book, Vision of Faith. I proudly state that I just released my latest, titled Cut From Thin Air. It is the sequel to my debut Murder/Thriller Cut From the Fold, published in 2020. See the trailer on YouTube! The novel before this was A Look Through, a historical fiction story set in Natchez, Mississippi. Its captivating characters breathe life into actual events and are meshed with a spiritual thread throughout. Night-Night, Freddie, released in 2022, is NOT about Freddie Kruger! It's about a different Freddie that you will thoroughly enjoy! It spins a tale of dream-state travel, a theme noted in several of my books. Before that, my wife, Felicia Gros, collaborated with me on a work near and dear to our hearts titled Talulah’s Pie. This romance novel set in the 1960s in New Orleans will hold you, endear you, bring tears of joy and anguish, and give you hope! We loved writing this book together, and Felicia provided inspiration and the cover art. Even my daughter, Carrie Herbaugh, was involved in the production with her expert photography skills. My first novel, Cold Silence of Deception, is a saga about terrorism and a romantic thriller and was my debut in self-publishing. As I mentioned above, in March 2020 I released Cut From the Fold, a thriller/mystery that will take you from Newport to the Caribbean, searching for clues and a culprit. Many twists await you with this one! I also have an excellent video trailer for Cut From the Fold, produced by Shooting Richard. All of my books will keep you on the edge of your seat. In 2018, I published Surrogate of Betrayal, a novel near and dear to my heart about men who served our country in Vietnam. It dramatically portrays what they and their families endured before and after the war and how it lives on in the heart and minds of these men and women. My most honored reviews, documented verbally or online, are from Vet’s who gave me high marks for Surrogate of Betrayal. My memoir and book inspired by my great great grandfather is Vision of Faith. This book was written mostly for my family, present and future. Last but not least, I have written many pages of poems and unpublished fiction, novellas and short-stories for kids, friends, and grandkids for years. So, what can I tell you? I live vicariously in my books, but I have had an interesting real life in addition to my life within the pages. Adventurous by nature and optimistic to a fault, I have lived on the edge in many instances. Mountaineering to McKinley, Aconcagua, Rainier, Mt. Washington, sailing the Chesapeake, and motorcycle riding, all embraced with passion. Born in Texas, the epicenter of my first book, I grew up in New Orleans and have traveled to many places. After finishing Dental School at L.S.U., I did a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard, and upon completion, practiced in Winchester, Virginia, until the fall of 2018. I proudly serve our Veterans at a local VA Hospital and plan retirement in 2024. I married one of the heroines of my first book, and an exciting side-note is that I wrote of Fe several years before I met her. I am a lifelong romantic who finally found his soul mate. Life is interesting, isn’t it? So, what’s next? Keep watching; I’ve always got ideas floating around! Felicia says I need to write another love story, and I'm thinking... It would be great if you purchased one of my books, and it would be even better if you would kindly leave a review! I write books I would enjoy reading, and I hope you enjoy them too. More are on the way! Wishing you all the best, and thank you for visiting my page! Eric
