Ellen was born and raised in New York and currently lives in San Francisco. She works on the Business Operations team at Twitter, which finds and targets strategic revenue opportunities for the company. Previously, she worked at Barclays on more than $10 billion worth of initial public offerings and other primary issuances for technology and media/telecommunications companies. Ellen holds a BA in English literature with honors from Brown University. She is also a trustee of the Brown University Hillel. In her spare time, she also co-leads the Business Development Meetups in San Francisco and is the founder and leader of the Super Women at Twitter organization, a group focusing on the advancement of women in technology. She also writes a popular blog called The World According to Ellen (ellenjdasilva.com).
