Diana Hylton is an independent social worker. She is also the founder and director of AnAID Empowerment, which provides a range of social work services and consultancy across the UK. Diana has twenty years’ experience of working with extremely vulnerable children and their families. Seventeen of those years has been spent working within challenging and diverse local authorities. She is a qualified practice social work educator and has supported numerous social work students through their training and into the profession. She is an expert within her field, at risk assessment and is passionate about child protection. In her debut book, Both Sides of The Track, Diana tells of her experiences of being on both sides of the care system. In this, she demonstrates her purpose and mission which is to support, empower, motivate, and inspire, particularly those who have experienced trauma and adversity, so that progress and positive sustainable changes can be made. Diana has recently left statutory social work and her role of Team Manager of a MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), to focus on AnAID Empowerment. Now a published author, she intends to become a life and overcoming adversity coach, motivational and keynote speaker, write more books and study for her PhD.
