I am a new writer in the field often called ‘Tartan Noir; i.e. hard-hitting Scottish Crime novels. I reside in Inverclyde where the novels are set. My protagonist Detective Inspector Ron Scott operates out of Greenock police station and the novels are geographically placed in the three contiguous Clydeside towns of Gourock, Greenock, and Port Glasgow. I have been married to my wife Joyce for forty-five years and she has been very supportive in proof-reading my novels. I have a wonderful view over the Clyde as far up to Ben Lomond to the north since my home is high on a hill at a height of 237 ft above sea level. I am a MS Flight Simulator ‘pilot’ and love ‘fly’ the Police Scotland Airbus 135 helicopter over the beautiful terrain of Scotland.
