E. Hank Buchmann, pen name Buck Edwards, was schooled in journalism and served as a combat correspondent in the Vietnam War. In twenty-two years working for his local school district, Buchmann taught creative writing and poetry to hundreds of middle school and high school students, as well as adults in a variety of venues. Most of Buchmann’s eleven novels and one poetry collection reflect his interests in history, nature and the human condition as it faces challenges on its way to restoration. In addition to his novels—Until the Names Grow Blurred; Darling Liberty; The Homing; Nightly Crossings; and the soon to be released Lila B., as well as his poetry, Natives of Lost Places, Buchmann has created a western series, featuring Marshal Boone Crowe of 1880’s Wyoming Territory. This fast-paced series includes, Dead Woman Creek; Showdown in the Bear Grass; Judgment at Rattlesnake Wash; Track of the Wolf; The Widow Makers; and Shootout at Lost River. Book seven in the series, 5 Bullets will be released in 2019. Buchmann lives in Washington, surrounded by sprawling wheat fields and sunsets, once claimed by Owen Wister, author of The Virginian, as, The best I’ve ever seen.
