She has a fondness for soldiers which should not be taken to mean she stands on street corners in garrison towns. The sex with a pond story is around in an anthology somewhere. ask me and I'll find it, but if you can't wait, try my novella "A Solemn Curfew" here on Kindle, no sex as such, but you will learn how to cook salsify and what not to do with blue mushrooms. "Jabin" a novel stuffed full of soldiers is currently undergoing a revamp, but will be back again soon. Not bothered by soldiers....you're stronger than me, I have trouble resisting a uniform...never mind, you will find destitute orphans, beautiful slave girls, dastardly pirates and a light dusting of royalty, clergy and repellent relatives. It's sci-fi folks, just not as you expect it "The Tattooed tribes" (another novel) is also down for the same reason. No soldiers this time (sobs quietly), but a forest world full of tattooed tribesmen and tribal custom. Add hero No.1 an eco warrior, woodsman and diplomat and mix with hero No.2 a teenage boy with all the sense you would expect from a hormone raddled brain and a conviction the rules don't apply to him. There's assorted villains as well, where would an adventure story be without them.
