A native of New Jersey, Adrienne Cadik now lives in Alexandria, VA, with her husband, Jan. They have a daughter, Emily, who lives nearby in Washington, DC. Having started regularly solving crossword puzzles in the 1960’s, Adrienne has also competed in several crossword tournaments, including the New York Times’ American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, Boswords, and Indie 500 . She has presented, for adult education organizations, courses in solving and appreciating crossword puzzles. Her current streak for successfully completing the New York Times puzzle is 25 months (and counting). Adrienne holds a degree in mathematics, which led to a 38-year career as a systems analyst and manager in Information Technology applications. Since retiring, she has served in a leadership position on her condominium board, gotten involved in local politics, volunteered at the Smithsonian libraries, and organized her high school reunions. Her hobbies include birding, travel, movies and theater, cooking, politics, walking along the Potomac and, of course, puzzles. https://adriennecadikbooks.com/
