About this listen

Three men, bound by blood, will stop at nothing to protect the women who have stolen their hearts and who they have claimed as their own - no matter what the price.

A forbidden love...

Ex-marine Crowe Callahan has only had one obsession in life: Amelia Sorenson. She is the only one who has ever gotten under his skin. However, she is also the daughter of his family’s sworn enemy: a man who has sought to destroy the Callahans for generations in order to further his own nefarious agenda.

A dangerous fate...

When Amelia put herself on Crowe’s side and in Crowe’s bed, she became her father’s enemy as well. When Wayne Sorenson escapes capture, both Amelia and Crowe know it is only a matter of time before he resurfaces to exact his revenge. Now Crowe will claim Amelia in order to bait a killer and end things once and for all. But can he protect the woman he can’t seem to live without from one of the deadliest enemies he has ever known? And will he survive if he can’t?

Enjoyed this audio book, but

What did you love best about Ultimate Sins?

I enjoyed the entire book and it was nice to see Crowe meet his daughter and find his lost love

Who was your favorite character and why?

The daughter Kimmie, what a fireball, too cute

Would you be willing to try another one of Julia Duvall’s performances?

NO, she speaks way to fast, like she was in a hurry to get done. After listening to the prior narrator which was fun to listen to I was very disappointed with Ms. Duvall's performance and wished I had purchased the book instead. Will not purchase any other audio book narrated by her

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Crowe went to Kimmie's' room and kissed Amelia and told Kimmie that daddy was there now to take care of her. When he left the room Kimmie was awake and told her mother that daddy loved her

Holy Moses, these two couldn’t stay out of each other’s pants

But that’s a good thing, they had such amazing chemistry. I thought all the secrets were revealed in book 3, but definitely not. Such a great one too, don’t miss out on such a terrific story. Lora Leigh never disappoints, she writes such erotic stories that have a lot of depth to the story, always great characterization, emotion, and intrigue.

PLEASE DO A RE-READ PLEASE,!

What didn’t you like about Julia Duvall’s performance?

Absolutely crap really spoiled the last book to the series, Julia Duvall really needs to breath while narrating, it was read way to fast and I really didn't enjoy this book with this narrator ,
Seriously do a re-read with original narrators, Clare Claremont or Clarissa Knightly I'm begging you please.

Too long since the last installment was released

This final installment of The Callahans was a mediocre story at best. I think it would have been a good idea to listen to the other 3 books again before listening to this one. The storyline in all the Callahan books is very convoluted - so many details, so many characters, so much melodrama. For some reason, Lora Leigh didn't make Crowe a very likable character until the very end, and that got old very quickly. It's hard to have to keep reminding yourself that he's not really the jerk that he seems to be. Why do that to the "hero" of the story?

Worst of all, Julia Duvall is a HORRIBLE narrator. Her tone and inflection were really bad. Sometimes she would use a low voice for a female character and a high voice for a male character while they were actually dialoguing in the story. So confusing! And she changed pronunciation of words from one chapter to the next - why do narrators do that? I will never listen to another book that she narrates.

Anyway, I'm glad the Callahan series is over, but all 4 books could have been trimmed down quite a bit. They just seemed to drag on way too long.
