About this listen

She was always Daddy’s little princess. They’re vicious outlaws. Now she’s theirs, and they’re not going to let her go without a fight.

Sophia Wolford’s always looked at the world as if the glass is half full. Even after the Apocalypse. What’s the point of focusing on the negative, after all, when you need to get busy rebuilding the world?

Finn Knight sees things differently, however. His motto is: Trust no one and always suspect the worst.

Not surprisingly, Sophia and Finn get along like oil and water.

When Sophia sees an opportunity to save not only Jacob’s Well, but the entire country which is on the brink of war, however, Finn is the only person who can help her.

Sophia gets a lot more than she bargained for, though, when she heads into the wilds of New Mexico and offers herself as a Raffle Bride.

She discovers too late that her new husbands might not have the most honorable intentions. Will she and Finn be able to find a way to save themselves in time, much less the Republic?

Good series.

I've read all the books in this series. If you didn't know before-hand this is a series, it's not your fault. For some reason, Audible has made them all look like stand-alones, and the artwork for them all has been redone so they're less identifiable. BUT, this is like the 5th or 6th??

ANYWAY, I feel like this book was a bit more mellow than its predecessors. Stasia Black has done an amazing job creating this post-disease, dystopian world and set the scene in the DFW area of Texas. She has also created a proper reason to set the scene for these reverse harem stories. She has taken great care to develop this world and the characters within it. Sophia has been part of the story from the beginning, and her story develops in the background of all the books leading up to this. She's the innocent, doe-eyed daughter of the community leader, whom he has done his best to keep protected and innocent throughout the series. She handles her own in this--her--chapter of the overall story, but the writing just didn't hold my attention like the other books. Still happy I read it, even if it simply keeps me kept up with the overall story (assuming there will be more).

Side note: Stasia Black has a lot of good reads if you are interested in erotic romances. She's definitely worth checking out.

Sophia Sophia!!!

I knew I disliked this Sophia character. Noone is this naive. Noone can be this dumb. In every way she was duped and told time and time again just how naive she was and the men still followed her lead because she's punishing herself for not being a fighter. I mean at some point you need to take the hint to sit the hell down.
