I love this author

Another wonderful series by Keri Arthur.

Things I love generally about Keri Arthur booms hold true for this series

1. Strong but not stupid protagonist who doesn’t make stupid choices and asks for help when she needs to without needing rescue.
2. Women who aren’t catty / competitive / insecure and comparing their bodies. When people dislike each other it’s for valid reasons. Female characters aren’t stuck in stereotypes and their behavior alters through the books as relationships change.

This series needs to be read as a whole together to appreciate the relationship angles and the paths to getting where she needs to go mentally and emotionally. Some books end on low notes and some on high notes, but the emotional side is picked up in the next story.

Narrative

The story was true to form. The narrator 's Australian accent did not fit the characters I was used to hearing. I realise this is a personal issue.
The performance was good.
The story was exactly as expected and I throughly enjoyed it.
Looking forward to a series from this.

FABULOUS

Keri Arthur is by far one of the greatest authors in the supernatural genre. This is another jewel in her crown.

AWESOME SERIES!

I'm starting to love this one even more than dark Angels. I love the fact that Keri Arthur female characters are strong in every way sexually assertive & warriors to put men to shame. They're passions drive them to greatest heights & never make them abandon compassion

Eh

I love this series but had a hard time understanding what was being said when the narrator was talking too softly. It sorta ruined the book for me as I kept missing a lot of the conversations.

"Aussie Urban Erotica"

Would you listen to Tempting Evil again? Why?

Not sure on this series. I read the Amazon reviews on all the books and chose to start with this book to see if I like this author. This book was good and it was a good example of author. However, the Amazon reviews on the continuing saga may make this series not be for me. Can't put my finger on it, but I think this series needs better editing. It is Ok for characters to fade in and then out, but the way i.e. Kade and Kellen come in and then go away seems a bit weak for me. I have not listened to book 1 or 2, but Quinn hardly has a part in this 9 hr listen except to help escape.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Quinn, Kade and what little we had of Kellen. Author made each of these men special and differently caring for our heroine.

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

I own over 70 listens of Ms Dawe's and wanted to try this author because she read it. She again does a fabulous job of all the characters. This is my first listen of her Australian accent. Her Scott's brogue is her best. (Quinn's Irish accent is good, but he is hardly in this book or rather not enough of him is in it for me)

Any additional comments?

I would like to try another book in this series, but don't know if #2,4 or #8 is the best choice to see if I want to be committed to the series.
I have a few of the JR Ward series recordings and did not catch the fact that this series is right up there with that one. I own most of that series in hard cover, but could not take the long recordings times. Reader is great.

Great Series!

I have honestly enjoyed all the of the books in the series so far. Perhaps it is a sleeper and not many listeners have given it a chance in the audio world based on the lack of reviews. I enjoyed the narration and the story line. While you can't compare books to each other and expect everyone to agree I can honestly say this series fits very nicely next to Anita Blake,Meredith Gentry,Jane Yellow Rock, Charley Davidson,Mercy Thompson. If you enjoy a series and a strong female lead you won't be disappointed.

Still reading.

The story went as according to made me still want to read the rest of the series. The only thing I would say was kind of not the greatest What did the ending was kind of .......short. After all the hustle and bustle it took to get to the villain villain the way they took him out was way too quick. Maybe it's me loving the taste of revenge served slow and cold.

My most favorite series

If you haven’t yet you should read this series. It is so good. I read all the Riley Jenson series but the very last one sadly. I waited for it to come out then things happened. Now I have to reread all of them to understand the last one I think.
