Acerca de esta escucha

The Song of Solomon is an important biblical book for understanding God’s intentions for romance and sex. In Sex, Romance, and the Glory of God, pastor C. J. Mahaney leads men through this biblical book, making the case that sex is a good gift God gave his people to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman.

Combining light hearted wit and profound wisdom, the author draws from his own experiences of married life and writes about the proper marital roles for men and women as taught in the Bible. Ideal for married men, engaged men, and anyone in the church ministering to them, this audiobook will teach every husband how to cultivate the intimacy with his wife that God intends.

Knowing that the Songs of Song written by King Solomon and inspired by the Holy Spirit is about sex can be shocking.

Granted it is about sex but in the right location as it was intended, in a Marriage.

I love that to truly understand what is meant, we have to go back to when/who wrote it first. I believe in Theology it is called the Rule of First Mention (something like that).

Truly amazing to know God gave us a book on this topic to help us.

Sex is not meant to be actively tolerated but celebrated…
With the way things are at now, a lot of Men would celebrate hearing that until they hear the steps (basically it’s not when you want it that she should just do it, especially when you haven’t taken the time to put her first).

Marriage has a divine purpose. The Biblical purpose of Marriage is God centred. Heard something beautiful from another Author “Marriage is 3 people, I never understood why at weddings the candles of each individual is blown out to light one… it should be the two individual candles plus that one”

In order for Romance to Deepen you must touch the Heart of your Wife before you touch her body. It’s quite funny how many books I have read and listened to have stated this various ways and yet we do not heed it…

According to Scripture Motherhood is never to be a Wife’s primary Role in fact the best Mothers are Wives who are continuously being romanced by their Husbands. Unfortunately, it seems like this is lost in today’s world…

The most effective Fathers are Husbands who make it their aim to Love their Wives Biblically. I love the use of the word effective in that statement.

Communication is very important…

What a breathtaking listen, a lot to ponder on.

The example of the two individuals who stayed faithful and loved their spouse after the unexpected was truly food for thought. I believe one of the couples name was Norman (not sure), imagine the testimony that they have never heard her complain about not being able to walk… God bless both of them, this is truly a motivation and something to pray and talk to God about as a single man.

Touching your Wife for the glory of God is vastly different than touching your Wife for your satisfaction or like she is an object…

Genuinely didn’t know the Song of Solomon was about Sex and Passion in marriage…

The Bible clearly tells us to flee temptation yet we enter into compromising situations and ask God to get us through… when we could have easily fled… clearly it shows how much we trust our own plan more than God’s…

What a book!
