About this listen

Kahlé Wesson is a thirty-four-year-old tough-as-nails Account Management Specialist and the President and CEO of Wesson State Bank with a sharp tongue and an attitude that could set the soul on fire. After losing the love of her life in a tragic accident just three days before Christmas three years ago, Kahlé decided to bury her heart and the idea of ever loving another man when she buried Mazuri. Her main focus has solely been on her career and she hasn’t bothered to entertain the thought of being involved with anyone. Things quickly change for Kahlé when she bumps into an old friend from her past and decides that she just might want a little love for the holidays.

Rakim ‘Rocky’ McColister is a thirty-four year old record label owner/producer/songwriter/music artist who hustled and worked his way through the music industry and has just moved his family back to his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, to be closer to his mother and open a new music store. A single father of twelve-year-old twins, Rocky doesn’t have time for games, small talk, and sneaky links with random women. After losing his wife and children’s mother a year ago to Advanced Fibrolamellar Carcinoma, Rocky isn’t just looking for a roll in the sack for the holidays. Rocky knew his chances of finding love again were pretty much non-existent, but sometimes, when you aren’t really looking, that’s when things or people pop into your life unexpectedly. Will that saying apply to Rocky when he crosses paths with his old friend?

Will Kahlé and Rocky open their hearts to love again this holiday season? Or will fear of moving on cause them both to turn away from something that could be promising for them?
