About this listen

Eight years ago, Sophie gave her heart - and her virginity - to Zach Barrett on a night that couldn't have been less romantic or more embarrassing. Zach's stepbrother, a steely-muscled, tattooed biker named Ruger, caught them in the act, getting a peep show of Sophie he's never forgotten.

She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious - her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach's a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger as Noah's only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands - with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club - to give them a better life.

Living with outlaw bikers wasn't Sophie's plan for her son, but Ruger isn't giving her a choice. He'll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she'll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way....

Critic reviews

"Filled with rough language, no-holds-barred sex, the rumblings of a biker war, and threats from the past, this fast-paced novel entertains while setting up the next book in the series." ( Publishers Weekly)

GRITTY, RAW, STEAMY & TENDER.... I LOVED IT

I'm loving these hot, bad ass, very Alpha Biker's who lay down the law, demand everything and promise nothing, but when they finally meet a strong woman that just won't stand for any of their bullsh*t or bad attitude, then watch them fall. Ruger is one such player - he's a handsome, hard, arrogant, pierced and tattooed manwhore from the Reaper's MC Club and he doesn't feel the need to change either his habits or his attitude.... that is until he finally hooks up with Sophie.

Sophie and Ruger go back a long way - since she dated, and got pregnant by, his dead-beat younger Brother who swiftly walked out her door - but it's Ruger who is to play a big part in both the birth and the baby's life from then on. 8 years later, Sophie and Ruger clash but their feelings and emotions for each other run so high and hot that it's not long before the passion ignites into some hot n heavy panting. But their lives are so different and Sophie hates the MC Club life and is asking for monogamy - something that has never ever crossed Ruger's mind. So, compromises must be made, family values reassessed, then danger, murder, heartbreak and heartache must all be experienced before love ever has a hope of conquering all.

I didn't like the split narration and I like a series to have the same narrator throughout (if they're good) so please bring back Stella Bloom.

Worth a credit? Likeable, interesting and amusing characters inhabit this book so sit back and let the well-written dialogue that's full of angst, passion, quick wit, emotion, tenderness and love entertain and enthral you until it's sigh-worthy HEA Epilogue.

If I could have given it 5 stars I would!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I recommended it to my mother! Good story, FANTASTIC narration!! I REALLY believe the two person narration helped make this book great. Todd Haberkorn did Great! I've met people like this and his voice, inflection, everything was spot on!

What other book might you compare Reaper's Legacy to and why?

Haven't found one yet with dual narrators this good.

What does Tatiana Sokolov and Todd Haberkorn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They really did a great job of making them truly individual people. Most narrorators do very well separating the people in the stories, but listening to the story in two person narration really MADE them separate people. People you might actually meet.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When he explained to her about the tattoos on his shoulder.

Any additional comments?

Loved the book! She really did a great job on research and choosing her narrorators!

Reaper's Ride Again

The book begins with a 16 year old Sophie losing her virginity to her loser boyfriend, Zach, with an embarrassing encounter with his stepbrother, Ruger. Eight years later Sophie is struggling to make ends meet and support Noah, her and Zach's product of her first time. Zach is no longer in the picture, the details are revealed slowly as to why that is, but Ruger is in the picture. Doing his best to protect Sophie and be a role model for his nephew.
One night after a big mistake on Sophie's part, Ruger insists that Sophie and Noah live with him in Idaho. Over the years they've developed an attraction for each other but they agree that it would not be good for Noah if they acted on it. I've gotta admit I DID NOT like the double standard. Ruger was a manwhore and continued to be even with Sophie in his house yet he forbade, (oh no he didn't!)yes he forbade Sophie from seeing anyone while she was living with him. But the good news is this put him in a predicament with the club. If he wasn't going to publicly claim her as his property - yes property! - then she was free to do as she pleased. But as much as I don't like certain terms and I did understand their culture, I liked how the old ladies took the time to try to explain that to Sophie but it didn't really change her mind. Her prejudices ran deep.
I don't blame her for standing up to Ruger and not wanting a relationship based on certain promises he couldn't make but I did respect that he was always honest and he wasn't going to accept her if she couldn't accept the club as well.
Throughout the book Sophie was stubborn and Ruger gave her space and time to do that. A lot of their interactions were funny but Sophie's stubbornness started to annoy me, especially when Ruger proved himself time and time again.
Overall it was a good read and I'm looking forward to the next book. I think the Hunter/Em/Painter situation will be really good.

Tatiana Sokolov and Todd Haberkorn were good with the delivery of the story

Good Legacy

Sophie is a single mother who struggles everyday to find the right balance. Noah's father is a dead-beat dad who refuses to help take care of his son. However, his step-brother, Ruger, steps in and treats Noah like his own and he has been in love with Sophie for years. Sophie and Ruger have an amazing chemistry together, but Sophie refuses to become involved because she doesn't understand, or approve of, Ruger's life in the Reapers MC. Ruger is a man whore and doesn't want to give in to his attraction to Sophie because he knows that she will want more than can give. I loved this story I loved how Sophie stood up to Ruger and I loved how she didn't just give in to him I did get a little annoyed with her going back and fourth about wanting to be with him and not being with him. Ruger & Sophie's story was explosive and fast pace and I loved it. In this story we also learned more about the club and the women which I loved they were funny and Sophie's friend Kimber. This book was very well written and very well read. I loved that Ruger was a total Alpha Male, but he loved Sophie and Noah. Ms. Wylde did a really good job I love this book and this series. If you are into bikers and hot alpha males than you will love this series. This book has been on my tbr for awhile and I don't know why it took me so long to get to it. I can't wait to listen to the next book to find out what happened to Em and Hunter and how Picnic takes it.

Great audiobook

Really enjoyed this book! This was my first one by this author and I cannot wait to listen to the entire series. I liked that it had a little mystery and back and forth and it didn’t happen immediately. Highly recommend!

I love this series

I love this series, didn't particularly like the guy reading it... I feel like you should pick a manly voice to go with a alpha character but all in all great stuff
