Publisher's summary

You've never experienced a romance like The Edge.

I promised you a bed of rose petals. He grabbed my hand under the table, tightening his grip as if he were falling from a precipice and our connection was the only thing saving him from certain death.

They were beautiful.

You smell like apples. Roses were wrong. There was nothing soft about his tone, but his quiet words were for me alone. I want everything to be right for you.

Caden, look at me.

I caught his gaze and held it. He was confident. Arrogant. Sure he had a place in the world. And under that was the man who needed me to be that place.

If I could… He smiled and shook his head at a silly thought he wanted to dismiss but couldn't—a contradiction in keeping with the whole man I married. If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn't be big enough. I'd run out of room. I'd fall out of the air trying to say it all.

He was saying it all. Every day. And he was falling out of the sky to do it.

🌻The story is getting more intense 🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I’ve often made an offhanded comment about how a predictable plot can be comforting. This book reinforces that idea by being completely opposite of predictable, and therefore, making me very uncomfortable. The Hero(s) and Heroine are suffering, so much, with seemingly, no relief in site. Yes, this is an indication that the writing is well done and I can stop listening because I’m so wanting all to be well. However, at this point, things are still getting more complicated and there seems to be no relief in site! Ugghhhh!

The narration is just as perfect as every performance of this narrating duo, especially with the addition of the duet element.

I must admit that I do feel like the author is taking advantage of her readers by breaking this novel into four pieces so that four credits are required to have the complete novel. Shame on you, CD Reiss. That’s no way to repay your loyal fans. Essentially, you are making the cost of this novel $52, and you feel good about this?

On the Edge

I just cannot get enough of this series. And then the Narrators did a duel read. I was so excited. This is a new favorite series for me. In my top five this year.

Holy hell!!!

This series just might kill me! CD Reiss is a fantastic author. He books are well written, full of storylines that are so compelling that I have to read, listen, and read again!

Caden/Damon and Graysons lives are not easy. Something caused the split to happen and it’s time to figure out what. Just as they begin, however, something happens that may just tear them apart.

You HAVE to hear these!!

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell…. They’re awesome.

Wow!! What a ride!

It's only book 2 in the series and I am enthralled, gripped and literally "On the Edge" of my seat!! The storyline and the way writing is so damn good!! I've been a huge C.D. Reiss fan for the last few years and I think this takes her genius to another level of crazy and yet I WANT MORE!! She can build characters and high stakes like very few can and I am deep in these people's world just begging for a clue. She makes the listener dive into another mental plane because you are constantly kept guessing. Like a "who done it?" but with emotion, intention and purpose. The narration is OUTSTANDING!! Joe and Maxine always perform amazingly but this performance is one of their best!! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Chilling and mesmerizing!

This second book in the Edge series by CD Reiss is absolutely chilling and yet it’s mesmerizing at the same time. The author does a fabulous job at making me feel like I’m right there on the roller coaster ride with Greysen and Caden. I’m holding my breath as they hurtle toward every shocking twist and turn that leads them farther into the unknown territory of Caden’s psychotic mind. The story is awesome, the narration just so-so.

Intensity increases... hold on tight...

I'm writing this review after finishing the series. OMG what a ride. I just couldn't stop to write a review sooner. I can tell you the series gets better and better. Don't miss out.

The performance is over-the-top. What a perfect combination between Maxine and Joe. They bring all the scenes to life. Awesome!

The story gets more involving as more characters come into play. It's fast paced so you'll never have time to hold on or wait or get bored. It just keeps going and going. I'm so impressed by the writing ... I didn't know such intensity could be captured. Their love is so powerful that it will drown you.

This story has everything; hot hot hot sex, emotional drama (get a kleenex box), uplifting moments, romance, a bit of violence (come on ... its a war story)

One of the best series out there... Enjoy!

wow! One word - mindblown!

WOW! One word – mindblown.

This crazy mindf*ck continues with this book. Such a twisted, confusing and unconventional situation, but I enjoyed every minute of it. My mind was all over the place. My head spinning and I wanted to hate it at some point for all the unexpected turn of events, but at the same time, I knew I couldn’t.

The idea was brilliant and although I’ve read similar topics, I have to give kudos to C.D. Reiss for making the whole set-up so original and keeping you ON THE EDGE the whole time. There was not a dull moment in this book. It is one crazy thing after another and you’re somehow expecting the unexpected, but even then when it hits you, you can’t help but just stare at your kindle and repeat WTF over and over. It’s been a while since a book hooked me so much on a story that I couldn't put it down.

There were so many emotions with this book, and although this isn’t some sappy drama read, there were some parts that brought me to tears. There were some seriously sweet and romantic parts and some very kinky sexy ones. So win-win. We got it all in one story and I couldn’t be happier about it.
And the love story is beyond amazing in this one:

"If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn't be big enough. I'd run out of room. I'd fall out of the air trying to say it all."

Well, sigh... I'm a puddle on the floor <3
Caden was absolutely dreamy despite his imperfections. And Grayson was exactly the woman he needed by his side to overcome this impossible situation. Their passion was explosive, their love so fierce and bottomless and I was so immersed in their story, I can't wait to dive into the next one.

The narration was spot-on and it was so good to hear them act this story in duet. It made it so much more real. I’m sad the next parts aren't released on audio, cause I loved it so far and I’m so getting it once it’s out, so I can listen again later. This was definitely one of those stories you would like to reread, just to make sure you got all the details right. Because there are so many things happening and everything is of importance. Unique and brilliant!

The ending was strong and although I kind of expected it, I’m a bit scared with what’s to come. But because I’m a glutton for punishment (pun intended) I’m jumping straight to Broken Edge and hope my heart will not be broken with it and I can survive in this war zone.
