About this listen

A stunning, erotic thriller by the best-selling author of Whiteness of Bones.

Following the gruesome murder of a young woman in her neighborhood, a self-determined woman living in New York City - as if to test the limits of her own safety - propels herself into an impossibly risky sexual liaison. Soon she grows increasingly wary about the motives of every man with whom she has contact - and about her own.

Ugh the narrator

Why did Cornelius voice have to be so ignorant? It was terrible. Most of her men voices were terrible. Next time a narrator that can mimic both genders would come come across better

really bad narrator

the story and the writing were okay but marred by a truly terrible narrator. the voices for the young black man and the Spanish cop were laughably terrible. I could not take anything in this book seriously with those voices.

Painfully Bad Narrator

I couldn't even get through the second chapter. As mentioned by other reviewers, the voice of Cornelius was especially painful.
