About this listen

The first time Jereme Oliver was caught in his mother’s lingerie, it ended up being the most embarrassing and soul-tormenting moment of his life. For several years, he buried his needs and never spoke a word to anyone about his sexuality or fetishes, afraid he would endure more pain and anguish. When he has the house to himself one night while visiting from college, the desire to play dress-up screams in his veins. Thinking he’s safe, he pulls on some of his mother’s lingerie, adds some makeup and one of her wigs, and revels in the image staring back at him in the mirror.

Nearly a year before, Anson Parker woke up in Vegas, married to a virtual stranger. Instead of annulling the marriage, he attempted to make it work solely on the basis that his new bride drove his controlling father crazy and that alone made him happy. Yet, no matter how much he tried to find a way through, eventually divorce seems like the only answer.

Anson goes home early to make one last-ditch effort and finds his wife finally wearing the gorgeous lingerie he’d bought her several months before. He knows that sex can’t be the only basis of a healthy relationship, but he can’t contain his lust when he sees her decked out in all that silk and lace. He sidles up behind her — hungry, hard, and ready.

After a line is crossed, he realizes it’s his stepson… not his wife… and both their worlds are turned upside down forevermore.

Naughty and Delicious!

Extremely sexy and kinky but surprisingly, there is also substance and the storyline is pretty good. Excellent narration. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Book and Narrator

John York does a fantastic job of bringing this story to life. It can be difficult to feel emotions during some story telling, but this book does not have any issue with that. I was able to get into the story very easily, and John's character distinction was very clear, never getting muddled with which character was speaking. I loved this story before I heard it, but I love it even more on Audible.

Nice read

This Kelex book wasn’t like all the other Kelex and other Daddy books I’ve read. Don’t get me wrong; the writing itself is stellar, but it had good twists, but their relationship did not get enough dept for me and the epilogue was 10(!) years after they started the relationship. I missed too much in between.

4.25–Overall rounded down for a few reasons...

First, I want to say that I love this story. The writing and characters are engaging and sexy. That said, I hoped for more from the performance. I feel like York has a lot of potential, but his character voices need refining. The deeper male voices were all quite gravelly and sounded incredibly similar, so as he grows, I hope he gains variation. His voice for the mother was more of a caricature than a character, and I felt like we needed something more real on that front to ground us in the story and in Jereme’s experiences. His portrayal of Jereme, though, was excellent. His acting was decent, but with some voices, his work came off stilted at times. I hope he learns more natural voices going forward, because I felt kicked out of the story by some of the voice choices and performances. There is room to grow, though and I’d give York a 3.5. I rounded up for his performance in the stars and down for overall to accommodate that. Again, the story is fantastic, and I’m not displeased with the audio, but I had hoped for a bit more.

Steamy and Taboo 😈

This is book 1 in the series and can be listened to as a standalone.

I absolutely loved John York's narration. He performed a very enthusiastic and upbeat audio delivery.
I was able to relate to the characters and his narration was fairly easy to follow

The storyline was engaging, sexy and steamy. This was such a well written taboo romance.

Jeremy and Anson were great together and I loved the crackling chemistry between them.

A steamy listen overall!!

Swoon worthy...

Oh, the love! This is a sort-of taboo book about a stepson and his stepfather. On one hand, they weren’t really living as such, but on the other...the timing is oh-so-scandalous and delicious. There’s also a lot about CD, so if either of those things are not your thang, you should probably skip this book. In books such as these, the odd factor out IMO is always the ex-wife/mother. She has to either be the best (the cool mom who has no problem with her son hooking up with her ex) or the worst. The ex-wife/mom in this book is very deserving of the “worst” title and if you’re one of those people who feels weird about the kind-of taboo nature because you feel bad for the jilted one, you don’t have to worry about that here. Best of all, this book is HOT and STEAMY. There’s also a little bit of BDSM-esque loving, which is not normally my thing but wasn’t too in-depth.

I like most of Kelex’s books (she gets me) but have sort of a love/hate relationship with her usual narrator. Cue happy hands for John York! As much as I like the book, I would have been torn on using a credit had it not been him. Yes, he mispronounces some words (wrong syllables, usually), but it wasn’t as apparent in this one as others that he’s narrated before. I generally like his voice and I was happy with the job he did here. I can’t wait for the second book to be released!
