About this listen

Owen Richards lives a quiet life in his small hometown of Haven's Cove. He has a rewarding life consisting of three very supportive - not to mention feisty - women, and a successful bakery that he owns and absolutely loves. Yet, Owen can't seem to shake this emptiness inside or the intense feeling that something is missing. A sudden encounter with a man from his past, one he despises, turns his entire world upside down. When Owen finds himself attracted to that sexy man, he questions everything, including his sanity. After all, only an incredibly disturbed person would find that he can't stop thinking about his high school bully.

Brody Walker never expected to return to Haven's Cove. He's made a life for himself in Boston, where he can truly be the person he was always meant to be. But an unexpected call has Brody facing all the demons he'd left behind so long ago. Now, he's faced with not only a difficult goodbye, but one long overdue apology to a man who is no longer that lanky kid from high school. The challenge is to convince the guy he's changed - and also prove he's worth taking a chance on.

Contains mature themes.

Quinn deserves acknowledgment…

… for combining good writing, and great storytelling with political and social relevance, and seamless eros.
I’ve always resented the segregation of erotic literature and literature. Books such as these give me hope.

Forgiveness is real no matter who

I enjoyed the characters all of them to include that prick of a dad getting his nose broken by Owen, way to go Owen. I truly enjoyed listening to this audio and the Narrator is amazing and the Author J. Quinn is an amazing writer.

Nice story

High school bully coming out troupe. These two I am hoping will be the start to a good series. I got a little ahead and met Johnna after meeting his boyfriend.

Owen and Brody…

Not bad. I’m most looking forward to book 3 because I think I like Jonah the best, but this is a good group of guys and a decent first book in series.

I liked Owen and Brody. Book has family, forgiveness, friendship, love and some steam. Narrator doesn’t always get the voices right, but decent performance and story overall.

Hits all the right notes!

Jaclyn Quinn was under the right stars when she wrote this book! This enemies to lovers story is so much more that what most authors attempt with this trope. When we meet Owen, he is in over his head in house repairs and in a relationship that is stuck in first gear. When he encounters his high school nemesis, he is more than ready to stand his ground and do battle. Brody is back to put his past, and his past hurts to rest.

Sean Crisden is such a unique talent. He is dreamy to listen to, and is brings out such deep emotion. At times I find his women all sound the same, but that doesn't happen here. He is on point every step of the way, one of my favorites!

This story takes its time in the set up, but doesn't drag anything out. Quinn has a tight 200 or so pages to tell this story, and she nails it. Lots of feels all the way around. We don't get caught up in too many diversions, we get their story. Highly recommend this book - especially to other authors who waste our time with fluff and nonsense when all the reader wants is the core story.
