Prepare yourself

There is almost no better combination- Abby Craden and Radclyffe. Wouldn't recommend listening to this in public- as it is by far some of the hottest erotica I've ever listened to. Short and delicious and a mixture of a little bit of everything.

Something for everyone!

It took me quite a while to get through this, because it's nearly 6-1/2 hours long. And like your favorite candy, you can only ingest so much erotica at a time before it gets to be too much. So I'd listen to this periodically when I had some time and then get away from it for a bit. There are 25 different "interludes" in this collection and it's quite varied with something for everyone. And because it's Rad (the woman knows how to write sex) it's well done. That said - because there so many different scenarios here, not everything will appeal to each reader/listener. That was the case for me. However, the ones that DID appeal to me were smokin' hot. What made it all the more intoxicating were the dulcet tones of narrator Abby Craden's alter ego Alexandra Wilde. More than once I had to bite down on my hand (or something) or exclaim because HOLY CHRIST her voice is sublime and sexy AF. So. If you like erotica and love Abby's - er, I mean Alexandra's - voice, then I think you'll find something in this collection that will please you.

Excellent

This has become my favorite erotica. Just the right amount of build up, story, and sex. Alexandria Wilde does an excellent job of bringing the character to life. A little bit of everything, true romance, and great sex. The author is very detailed describing each sexual experience and relaying the emotions of the characters.

If you enjoy lesbian erotica Radclyffe is amazing

Would you listen to Change of Pace again? Why?

Yes, I love all types of erotica, kinky, straight, gay, lesbian. Radclyffe writes great lesbian erotica, this is a group of her short stories that are all excellent. There are some better than others but in fact I really did enjoy every one. (some are really HOT)

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is a book of short stories so there isn't one character

Which scene was your favorite?

Many, it's hard to pick one but the last thee stories which link together Clinical Trial 1,2,3. Really was great

Any additional comments?

If you're into this genre this is not only loaded with great stories but Alexandra Wilde, is fantastic at narration. I've listened to her narrate several erotica books and she really get's into the emotion and passion of the characters. GREAT Narrator for this book. I usually check to see who is narrating certain erotica and Ms Wilde is one of the best.

A Classic Collection of Lesbian Erotica

Radclyffe is a must read and listen. She can write the sexy scenes and depictions. Great narration.

Fresh writing but narration spoiled it

It is as if the narrator is constipated, every time she attempts any characters, and all sound the same. It's annoying because she has a sweet voice otherwise but the froggy, out of breath delivery was just too distracting for me. it ruined the writing which wasn't Pulitzer winning but I didn't expect it to be. Nearly all of the stories are in first person and adequately balanced with sexy scenarios and steamy buildups. Nothing spectacular, just your average erotica.

What Did She Say?

Would you try another book from Radclyffe and/or Alexandria Wilde?

No, not by Radclyffe, but I might listen to another one narrated by Wilde, simply due to her voice and not necessarily the story or whatever she is narrating for any sense of interest or focus.

If you’ve listened to books by Radclyffe before, how does this one compare?

N/A

What does Alexandria Wilde bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a sultry voice. Due to her sultry voice, you really have to focus on what she is saying, and not get caught up in how she is saying it. As a result, it seems like whatever she is saying, you may miss or not really hear what she is saying because her voice lulls you.

What character would you cut from Change of Pace?

Since the voice of the narrator was distracting, it is hard to distinguish one character from the next in any given story. They all seemed to run together due to her narration.

Any additional comments?

The two must come together in synchronicity. The author's words must evoke some type of feeling, interest, anger, romantic feeling, or erotic feeling, along with the narrator bringing it to life in order for the feelings to be felt. You can not take for instance the Declaration of Independence and have someone bore you to death reading it straight. As a result, yes the narration is important, but also the words, the stories, the protagonist must be able to stand on his or her own and in doing so evoke an emotion along with the narration and not the narrator overshadow or disguise the words written or in this case heard.
