Audible Unveils New Studio in the Heart of Berlin
Audible has a new studio in the heart of Berlin! The studio’s four state-of-the-art recording spaces, including a multi-cast recording studio and recording booths fit for podcast recording or solo narration, will enable us to create immersive audio stories featuring Germany’s top creative talent and inspire more listeners than ever before.
This year alone, Berlin’s new studio is expected to produce over 500 titles, including more than 100 Audible Originals.
German actors, artists, authors and government officials joined Audible at the studio’s opening ceremony on November 28.
“Audible is an important supporter of the German and Berlin creative industries and has shown for years that culture and business are two sides of the same coin. With the Audible studio, a unique environment is now being opened for cultural and creative professionals; more and more of them are discovering audio as an opportunity for themselves,” said Katrin Budde, Chair of the Committee for Culture and Media in the German Bundestag.
“Berlin's creative climate, the many cultural workers, and the large number of digital companies—all this offers an ideal environment for an innovative media company in the digital industry like Audible,” said Christian Gaebler, Head of the Berlin Senate Chancellery.
Audible will also offer the spacious premises for workshops, lectures and teaching events for Berlin’s creative scene. Additionally, eight partner studios throughout Germany will use the space to record many of their productions.
