Bonjour, Audible: We Open Our First Studios in Paris

Audible has been delivering high-quality listening experiences to our customers in France for years. Now, with the opening of a new studio space in Paris’s 9th arrondissement, we’ll be able to create and produce more incredible French audiobooks and other performed audio programs than ever before.

On September 27, Audible founder and CEO Don Katz joined Audible France Country Manager Constanze Stypula to officially open the studio, welcoming a distinguished group of guests including government officials, artists and the media to celebrate this important milestone.

Audible was created to unleash the emotive music in language, a founding vision that seems tailor-made for a language as mellifluous as French. We are thrilled to be stepping up our focus in France and on behalf of French listeners, authors and actors, and this beautiful new studio is a momentous step forward in support of a culturally relevant and distinctive Audible service in France.

“Audible was created to unleash the emotive music in language, a founding vision that seems tailor-made for a language as mellifluous as French,’’ said Don Katz. ‘’We are thrilled to be stepping up our focus in France and on behalf of French listeners, authors and actors, and this beautiful new studio is a momentous step forward in support of a culturally relevant and distinctive Audible service in France.”

“The inauguration of the Paris Audible studios is a new step in Audible's commitment in the creation and dissemination of culture in France, and we are very proud of it. This structure will allow us to further develop content creation, which had become necessary considering our growth and our ambitions for the years to come,” explains Constanze Stypula.

The new state-of-the-art studio space—home to a multi-cast recording studio and multiple recording booths fit for podcast recording or solo narration—looks out to picturesque views of central Paris.

In the past three years, Audible has invested nearly 10 million Euro in the creation of French-language audio content. The company currently creates more than 500 French titles per year, including numerous Audible Originals in a variety of genres.
