Twenty-two-year-old Ophelia and her younger brother Thomas have never gotten an honest answer about the disappearance of their eldest sister six years ago. But when Thomas disappears in a similar way, Ophelia won't accept her parents lies anymore.

When Xavier, the youngest son of the corrupt king from the hidden city, appears in Ophelia's world, she soon realizes that her quest is not going to be as straight-forward as she had hoped.

Premonitions about a strange and desolate land assail Ophelia and Thomas, which not even the forest goddess Axelia has an answer for. Once again calling upon the assistance from the room of enchantments, Axelia is able to bring forth three deities that may be able to unravel the enigma of Ophelia and Thomas' visions. But the help will come at a cost - and an agreement to the destiny of the library, the hidden city, and even the entirety of magic itself must be made - and soon.
