When Lt. Simon Brooks discovered an alien AI, he made a name for himself as an officer in the Unified Earth Fleet. And while his tech skills are next level, he has a lot to learn about running a combat squadron. After flubbing a training exercise, Brooks is set to choosing worlds for human colonization, and he thinks he has the perfect candidate: Vega. But rumors and intelligence reports make him think there’s something there that the Sleer missed.

A brutal civil war threatens to tear the Movi Kingdom apart. EarthGov’s presence on the Sleer’s former capital is endangered as refugees seek aid, loyalist navy fleet commanders demand tribute, and rebel commanders roam the stars looking for support or vengeance. The Unified earth Fleet needs information and sends the UES Gauntlet into the fray to seek allies.

Earth is cold and dark, its environment ravaged by Sleer technology. A cell of desperate human freedom fighters suddenly strike out and kill the Sleer occupiers’ top general. Sleer forces in orbit bombard Earth, and each attack prompts another escalation. The Unified Earth Fleet no longer has a choice: they must re-take the orbital ring around Earth or humanity will perish.
