  • The T’exelcemc (Williams Lake First Nation people) are members of the Secwepemc Nation (Shuswap people). We enjoy a rich environment and a rich ceremonial life. Our chiefs lead a strong people. They do so today. Today we have 786 band members and our population is growing. We honour our Elders and treasure our children. Our families are deeply important to us. We value our past and look towards our future This podcast will give all the members (on and off reserve), a chance to stay in touch with their community. We will be conducting interviews, hosting and co-hosting conversations with members about their lives, and stories in a safe and relaxed space.     I conducted interviews with 6 participating nominees for the 2020 Council Election. The questions that were asked, were submitted by the community from the members. Each candidate was asked the same questions and were given the questions prior to the interviews. Each candidate that participated did great.
