To move forward in our study of heaven and hell, we need to look at Christ's death and resurrection. This presumes there was a Jesus who lived, of which there is abundant secular proof. Christ was the substitute offering that allows us to go to heaven, but we get a glimpse of hell on earth at Christ's death. There we see separation, darkness and terror, a clear demonstration of God's power, a clear demonstration of God's intent, and a picture of what hell will be like. VF-2227 Matthew 27:45-54
