In heaven
This podcast is perfect. As a huge fan of James Holland’s work, knowing he has a regular podcast is as exciting as finding Peter Hart’s podcast. But even better is his pairing with Al Murray. And it’s all WWII. For the insatiable military history buff this is a dream. And it’s hilarious.

Often repetitive but still very good
Al Murray turns out not to be a beer selling publican lout but actually he's a culture and education history graduate with a real passion for WW2. James Holland author and Oxford history graduate is his knowledgeable better.
Between they discuss (deliberately) more obscure parts of WW2 and expand even the most knowledgeable WW2 buffs insights.
A small niggle however, Al and James have a habit of repeating themselves, to often, of I hear "he's amazing" or "but it's the steel not the flesh" or"they can't defeat you of you're not there" one more time...
