  • FORK RANGER GONE GOOD
    Feb 19 2025
Frank Holleman is the founder of the Fork Ranger initiative, a platform dedicated to educating people on how their food choices can impact climate change and providing practical ways to eat more sustainably through recipes and information. Nearly 60% of food waste starts in our homes, with 1/5th of all food produced each year squandered or lost before it can be consumed. This is the equivalent to one billion - billion with a B - meals - per day - !! Information like this can feel so overwhelming but one person can make a difference especially if that one person inspires others to follow suit. Frank is that one person and he's one person you need to hear from to see how you can be the next. We talk everything from leaning in to everyday recipes to why supermarkets may not be so super after all and he also announces our show intro in Dutch - how good is that? Enjoy this international new episode. ____________________________ Start the new year with a new mystery: MURDER UNMASKED, Steve's second book in his series, THE DOG WALKING DETECTIVES, is finally here! • PROJECT ANIMALAID GONE GOOD
    Feb 12 2025
Marcy Thrash brings the good of Project AnimalAid, the Boulder, Colorado based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the health and welfare of animals in the U.S. and around the world. PAA achieves this goal by collecting veterinary equipment, technology and supplies from veterinary hospitals, human hospitals, medical equipment and supply manufacturers and distributors, zoos, other non-profit organizations and individuals. These donated items are then distributed worldwide to veterinarians working in non-profit or non-governmental organizations devoted to animal health. This amazing organization is not only helping the animals of the planet, but also conserving valuable resources that will likely otherwise end up in a landfill. We are talking animals, conserving, recycling, reusing, and how bad ass it is to have Thrash as a last name. Special note from Steve: This episode is dedicated in loving memory of Mason and Haylee, our beyond good dogs, who left us too soon and too close together but we know in our hearts you two crazies are racing around somewhere, causing chaos among the stars. ____________________________ Start the new year with a new mystery: MURDER UNMASKED, Steve's second book in his series, THE DOG WALKING DETECTIVES, is finally here! • HOT MESS EXPRESS GONE GOOD
    Feb 5 2025
Brittinie Tran is a mother of 3, splitting her time between her own top-rated podcast Girl, Same and being the President of the Board for Hot Mess Express. What is Hot Mess Express? Good question. It's the women led non-profit, with chapters across the United States, serving women in their communities with zero judgment through cleaning, organizing, and offering a fresh start. Look, we all need a break and sometimes that's hard to admit. And we all need some help and sometimes that's even harder to admit. We don't want to look - or worse feel - like we can't do it all, especially when we see everyone around us (seemingly) killing it each and every day. Hot Mess Express - and Brittinie - get this and they offer a solution simply by rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. Community is needed more than ever in this world and that's what this episode is all about. It's also about traveling and living in an RV with your spouse, 3 children and 3 dogs - but that you'll have to listen to find out more. ______________________________________ Start the new year with a new mystery: MURDER UNMASKED, Steve's second book in his series, THE DOG WALKING DETECTIVES, is finally here!
