His writing tends to be on the pulpy side—intermingling genres like horror, dystopian with dark fantasy and adventure. A fierce proponent of character diversity, avoiding cliché like the plague and of planting little seeds between the lines, which the reader might only discover in subsequent readings. When not tapping the keys on his Chromebook, Steve co-hosts the Retro Ridoctopus podcast, he watches entirely too many black and white monster films. Steve lives in Lancaster, Massachusetts a houseful of girls, two cats and one smallish dragon. #SteveVanSamson #TheUnpleasantMisterSnif VOX VOMITUS: Sometimes, it's not what goes right in the writing process, it's what goes horribly wrong. hilarious literary podcast

Hosts Jennifer and Allison are always on point, both knowledgeable and ridiculous. they clearly read the books, and know a lot about the subjects, but never take themselves too seriously. They are my favorite!
