The Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in the state just six months ago. Hindu nationalist groups in the state have disrupted multiple prayer and worship gatherings of Christians recently. They even evicted a pastor and his wife from a church. A local pastor told International Christian Concern, “These incidents cropped up only after the [Bharatiya Janata Party] came to power in Odisha. We know that it will continue in the days ahead.
