This is the final episode of the Tiniest of Seeds podcast. It is with sadness but also conviction and joy that I close this season. I am sharing what the word TEMPLE means to me, and give a call and blessing to deeper rest and presence with the LORD. Mind, soul, body wholeness and all abundance is wrapped in this word. Can a tiny mustard seed of faith really transform your life? Yes it can. But we have a choice to use it. Have you expected too much of yourself and too little of God? He ALWAYS wants our best (and he alone even can know what that is), he alone provides salvation and healing, and he alone ALWAYS acts to glorify his good and faithful name. Will we exercise the faith he has given us and ask him to provide what we actually need? He's promised to give it.

I don't want to be one who "has not because I ask not."

James 4:2b-3a "You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives."

Even as a believer, do you wonder if there must be more? Does it ever feel like your faith must be lacking something crucial because joy, peace, wellness and freedom are elusive? Do you ever feel like you're just like the "world" only also condemned because your Christian walk doesn't reflect what you think it should? Do you long for more passion for life and God?

I have wrestled with all of the above, and have come to know that we can indeed connect with a love so profound that it transforms every corner of our lives. I believe each of us can receive in far greater measure than we have perhaps realized.

Chaos? Desert? Confusion? Concern? Trial?

The apostle Pauls says he has learned to be content no matter what. Wow. He went through it all - elevation of personal status to prison, status to disdain. He was a chief persecutor of Christians, and radically found Jesus and peace. It wasn't easy for him either! (Just read Acts and Romans.)

As we align our purpose with God's purpose for us (which by the way is always for our best) and quit seeking external manifestation and validation, we can find a deep sense of joy, peace and contentment. Will we take the Bible at its word? We are promised this, and to stand on this doesn't minimize our humanity or struggles.

This conversation with Kari Levang encourages a disciplined approach to faith without legalism. It encourages practice with grace. It showcases how personal experience and surrender to the Holy Spirit can foster a profound desire for God, worship and his word.

Kari and I chat about her current chaos and reality, and about our continued revelation about our own purpose in similar seasons of life with our ages (mid 50s), but wildly different seasons in circumstance. We are both being driven to our knees in new ways, and finding a greater sense of peace and purpose.

We can, by His power, be disciples. We can leave condemnation, rumination, analyzation, and all else and walk in the joy He has for us. We were created by Him, for Him, and we can walk with Him. It's not too lofty a goal, we need to ask, seek and knock and it's worth it.

How simple it is, yet how hard we make it. Yes, because we are human! There is so much grace and mercy that is ours, and yet we so often settle for far less than the truth Jesus won for us on the cross. We CAN indeed walk in more and more realization of the freedom we have. This episode is packed with scripture to encourage you to persevere and grasp hold of what is yours. Forgiveness is truly the most powerful avenue for a life of fullness and goodness - our best, most free and joyful and holy lives for God's glory and our good! Forgiveness is vital and brings a depth of freedom and release and connection that are indescribable. Join Laurine and her friend Katy Krippaehne as they talk about some of the complex layers of forgiveness and the transformative, difficult and ongoing process it can be.

As Christinas, we know to "judge not", but sometimes we get confused about what that means. It's not judgment to have a perspective or opinion that differs from someone - it's what we do with that perspective. Do you know the one and true judge? It's Jesus himself. What a relief. Our Redeemer and Righteousness.

What about shame or judgment of your self? Do you ever feel like you're unworthy of love or like you're falling short and just not enough? Does this impact your ability to enjoy your present life? Today my mother, Beverly Mesler, and I chat about how self-judgement and judgement of others has impacted us. She shares reflections from her lengthy walk as a disciple of Jesus that began at a Billy Graham crusade at the tender age of 13. She highlights some pivotal moments in her life that led to profound spiritual growth and an ongoing reliance on Jesus. We talk about judgment, pride, and the humbling process of recognizing our own weaknesses.
